Dear SSI-18 participants,

The Programme Committee of the SSI-18 has already decided on presentation form (oral/poster/invited) of all accepted contributions. As the total number of declared oral contributions was close to 450 and the program, due to obvious time limitations, can accommodate only ca 250 of them (+ keynotes + plenary lectures) the decisions on the status change of many contributions (from oral to poster) were difficult, but necessary.

Actually we have already started sending information about the form of accepted presentations. Taking into account a great total number of accepted abstracts (over 770) we decided to send that information in three batches shortly following each other. That allows us to react efficiently at unavoidable cases of some misunderstanding etc after each batch. The whole process is to be completed in a few days.

We greatly appreciate your contribution and expect to welcome you in Warsaw at the Conference.

Call for abstracts:

Submission of abstracts is no longer possible - the final deadline was 31 January, 2011.

Abstracts may be submitted online only.

You must pre-register to upload your abstract(s).

The Scientific Program Committee will review abstracts and information regarding acceptance will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author.

Guidelines for Submission
  • Extended abstract should be prepared as a MS Word document
  • Extended abstract should not exceed 1 page A4 (210mm x 297 mm). Longer abstracts will not be processed.
The abstract should be prepared as camera-ready, strictly following the order and rules given below and exemplified in the attached template:
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Single space
  • Margins: all equal to 25 mm
  • Title: 12 pt, bold, capital letters, centered (one column layout)
  • Author(s): 11 pt, centered, leave one blank line, please underline the presenting author and add an asterisk at the Corresponding author
  • Affiliation(s): 10 pt, centered (leave one blank line)
  • e-mail address of the corresponding author (leave one empty line)
  • Keywords (maximum four): 10 pt, leave one line
  • Body text: two-column layout, 10 pt, one blank line between paragraphs; no indentation (please see the template)
  • Bold paragraph heading
  • Tables, figures and references: please strictly follow the template.
  • Figures should be included as graphic files (preferably in .tiff, .png or jpg formats) with a minimum 300 dpi resolution. Please avoid direct embedding diagrams from e.g. MS Excel, Origin or similar software.
  • NOTE: abstracts will be published as received and printed in black and white.

EXTENDED ABSTRACT PUBLICATIONS

The book of extended abstracts will be distributed at the beginning of the conference.

CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

Manuscripts may be submitted for publication in a special volume of the Journal of Solid State Ionics (SSI). All manuscripts will be referred according to the standard procedure of Journal of Solid State Ionics. NOTE - link for guidelines for manuscript preparation and manuscript submittion has not beed activated yet.
