Student Attendance Awards for SSI - Warsaw

The International Society for Solid State Ionics will give out around 20 awards for students presenting papers or posters at the meeting in Warsaw. Under exceptional circumstances awards may be given to postdoctoral students. These will cover the registration fee + $300.00 toward travel and/or hotel. The award will be disbursed toward the end of the meeting in Warsaw; no funds will be disbursed prior to the meeting.

Conditions:

  1. The student must be presenting an oral paper or a poster.
  2. The student’s advisor must be attending the conference.
  3. The student must send an application to Professor Stanley Whittingham at stanwhit@binghamton.edu

This application must contain the following information:
a. Student name, department and university
b. Title and abstract of paper to be presented
c. Letter from supervisor stating that the applicant has student status, and describing the outstanding work of the student that justify an award.
d. All of the above should be submitted by email to Professor Whittingham, President of ISSI before the end of April. Awardees will be notified by the end of May.
